From 1 March 2021, a new safety permit comes in to force for heavy goods vehicles operating in London – The Direct Vision Standard (DVS), which measures how much HGV drivers can see from their cab, eliminating blind spots and reducing the risk to cyclists and pedestrians, particularly when HGVs turn left and often unable to see on their near-side. Any vehicle over 12 tonnes entering London will be required to obtain a permit and Containerlift are proud to say that all their vehicles entering London are compliant with the new regulations.
