Containerlift has been a major sponsor of The Laughter Specialists charity for a number of years.  You may spot their logo on our vehicles!  The Laughter Specialists is a small local charity who bring laughter and humour to those who need and deserve it the most.  Working on the wards of hospitals such as Great Ormond Street, Addenbrookes and Broomfield, they bring entertainment to terminally ill, sick and children with special needs, their families and carers.  They are specifically trained Laughter Specialists who provide engaging and supportive interactions to children often struggling with circumstances that none of us would want to be in.  Using a variety of entertainment skills, comedy, singing, puppetry, magic and improvisation, alongside psychological understanding to provide magical moments and mental respite.

Joost Baker Containerlift’s Managing Director explains, “There is little else more heart wrenching than seeing a baby or child suffering. Coping with a child who is unwell, terminally ill or who has special needs has to be one of life’s toughest challenges for any adult whether a parent or not. When life is this challenging humour and laughter is at its most valuable. There are numerous studies that point toward the massive positive effects laughter has on healing. For all these reasons and more we are extremely proud to have been supporting such a wonderful cause since 2015.”

Containerlift staff host various fundraising events throughout the year, including pub quizzes, mud runs and murder mystery evenings to name but a few.
